OC Black Moms Is Moving to Held & Rooted
After more than five years of building community, connection, friendship, and support through OC Black Moms, we are officially moving into our next chapter.
The OC Black Moms Facebook group will be archived on August 15, 2026. This website will also be archived as part of the transition.
Moving forward, all OC Black Moms community communication, events, conversations, resources, updates, and opportunities to connect will happen inside the Held & Rooted app.
Held & Rooted was built from the community we created together through OC Black Moms and gives us a dedicated space designed specifically for mothers raising Black children, without relying on Facebook to be our community home.

What began five years ago as a small Facebook group has grown into a vibrant community dedicated to celebrating, connecting, and empowering Black families in Orange County, California.
Today, OC Black Moms is over a 1,100 moms strong community where we connect, share resources, organize gatherings, and occasionally exchange the kind of parenting wisdom that can only be delivered by someone who has already survived the toddler years.
Along the way we’ve discovered incredible local businesses, hosted hundreds of playdates and events, celebrated Black excellence right here in Orange County, and built the kind of village that makes motherhood feel a little more joyful (and a lot less lonely).
Whether you’re looking for trusted resources, can’t-miss community events, or simply a group of mothers who understand exactly why hair day, after school activities, and weekend schedules deserve their own organizational system — you’ve come to the right place.
